Caral is a large settlement in the Supe Valley, near Supe, Barranca province, Peru, some 200 km north of Lima. Caral is the most ancient city of the Americas, and is a well-studied site of the Caral civilization or Norte Chico civilization.

The urban complex is spread out over 150 acres (607,000 m²) and contains plazas and residential buildings. C
Caral was a thriving metropolis at roughly the same time that Egypt's great pyramids were being built.

The main pyramid (Spanish: Pirámide Mayor) covers an area nearly the size of four football fields and is 60 feet (18 m) tall.
Caral is the largest recorded site in the Andean region with dates older than 2000 BCE and appears to be the model for the urban design adopted by Andean civilizations that rose and fell over the span of four millennia. It is believed that Caral may answer questions about the origins of Andean civilizations and the development of the first cities.

PROGRAM:
7:00 a.m. Pick up the specific point of encounter. We left Lima early we have the Pan American Highway north to Vegeta. Then we will go for a trail in a way where cross canals, plantations of the place, accompanied by the typical flora and fauna of the place (Turtupilín in abundance). We also have the opportunity in this way to observe the irrigation canals in the desert, bean-growing areas, sugar cane, maize, cassava interaction with communities of place.
Once we arrive to the city of Caral we take our guided tour. You will see the different constructions: 7 monumental pyramids, two of which can meet the architectural layout of the first Peruvian civilization and America. These buildings include an amphitheater, barbecue offerings in a circular, central squares, residential areas and religious centers.
This city dates back to 5000 years old and is located chronologically parallel to the construction of the pyramids in Egypt.
With the discovery of the archaeological city of Caral has a new timeline view of the cities in America and the world.
Then continuing with our tour we return to Huacho, where we meet the main square, church, the old casino and the famous enchanted lake, then lunch at Casa Blanca Restaurant. At 17:30 pm return to the City of Lima. Arriving at the place chosen concentration.
